a ww1 stort part 3

As I said yesterday, I will post the telegraph right here in a few minutes. however I need some time to talk about today. today has been rough, especially when we discovered the horrifying Telegraph and this message. however we couldn’t stop there . the Germans were following us and we had no choice but to advance to the p o w camp. we have discovered some secrets from the German soldiers that were housed at the p o w camp. in Lyon, France. however, we need the code breaker in able to find out what the Germans are saying. the Germans won’t talk no matter how much we bribe them and  that all they did was give us a coded message. however, we can’t crack the coded message without the decoder.

As I said earlier here is the telegraph translated to english.

A ww1 story part 2

Soon I received a telegram that was sent to my commanding officer. it said there’s a new platoon of soldiers would be coming in today. however, I could not let this happen, for the Germans had conquered that trench. I had to reach them. their current location was Lyon, France. That was a long way to travel for the front lines. I had to get there fast but I didn’t know how.

I have traveled very far and I’m almost to Lyon, France.  they are Marching. I can hear them. they’re about 2 miles away from me. However, Germans are only 12 miles away.

They were all Guards from a French POW camp. but if they came they would all die, and the prisoners would escape. I had to stop them before they got too far. for it was a trap. I can sense it. I started to sweat very much, for I knew this would be the final straw before Germany won.

I soon found the platoon. I told them about the German plan. they believed me and we went back. when we got there, we received a telegram. I’ll cover it in tomorrow’s journal page.

A ww1 story.

Greetings. my name is John Mapper. I am an American soldier in World War I. The year is 1917 and America has sent its first troops to the front lines. I am a member of platoon 201. Victory seems inevitable, the Germans keep advancing as we lose more territory. We have almost lost all of our morale.

We hold our rifles up high as the Germans were watching our every move.we knew that this would be our destiny. we also knew that we would probably not make it out. Overhead there were American biplanes followed by the French Legioners that would arrive soon in our area. the Germans were shooting at them.we saw several of them go down. we knew that every time a plane went down, two or one person could have died. we knew this war must end, for the sake of the world.

The commander yelled the order and we all went into the back of the trench. We soon learned that half of our platoon was knocked out by poison gas. Twas a sad day for the rest of our platoon. the troops were filled with great sadness. but we had to keep pressing forward if we were to see this war’s end.

Soon we were off again, we had just gotten in the second Trench, but we still had to move back yet even further. the Commander ordered that the organ guns get fired. the Oregon guns fired  through the barbed wire fences. however, the barbed wire was not strong enough to hold for our defenses and the Germans charged and all of my platoon was killed but me.

I learned that the Germans invaded the trench. they were surrounding this trench as I write this journal. I knew that soon there will be no place to hide. I had to use the secret entrance. Signed John Mapper, August 14th 1917.
